The Student Farm offers numerous opportunities for students to get practical experience in sustainable agriculture, ecological horticulture and related fields all year long. Numerous internships are offered and students wanting academic credit can receive one unit of credit for each three hours per week of activity. The Farm also offers formal courses and research opportunities in sustainable agriculture, organic farming and gardening with kids.
You can learn more about these opportunities in several ways, including:
-
Attend one of the Student Farm Opportunities events on Monday, October 2 or Tuesday, October 3. Both are from 12 noon to 1 p.m. You'll get a brief tour of the Farm, learn about how you can get involved and get to taste some Student Farm produce. Come alone or bring a friend.
-
If can't make it to one of the above events, you can schedule a meeting with the Student Farm staff for a time that works for you. Contact Mark Van Horn at 752-7645 (752-SOIL) or mxvanhorn@ucdavis.edu
